The former India captain said the addition of two new teams later this month would determine his stay at the three-time champions CSK.

“Okay, you can see me in yellow, but there are a lot of new inevitable conditions for whether I play for CSK or not. We do not know the retention policy. We do not know how many foreigners, how many Indian players we can retain, the money cap that every player cuts from the kitty,” Dhoni said. .

“You can not really decide if the rules are not enforced. So we will wait until this happens and hopefully, it’s good for everyone.”

Earlier on Tuesday, at the event of the 40-year-old, India Cements celebrating its 75th anniversary, he said he hopes to play his last match in Chennai.

“When it comes to farewell, you can still come and see me play for CSK and it could be my farewell game. So, you still have a chance to say goodbye to me. Hopefully, we will come to Chennai and play my last game there and we can meet the fans there,” he said during the event. Conversing with the fans, Dhoni said.

Dhoni, who dropped his shoes from international cricket last year, has not played in the Tamil Nadu capital since IPL 2019.
