Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni said on Tuesday that he will continue to play for the franchise after the end of next year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) season so that his fans can watch him play in Chennai. .
The 40-year-old wicket-keeper-batsman said he hopes to play his last match in Chennai at the 75th India Cements ceremony.
“When it comes to farewell, you can still come and see me play for CSK and it could be my farewell game. So, you still have a chance to say goodbye to me. Hopefully, we will come to Chennai and play my last game there and we can meet the fans there,” he said during the event. Conversing with the fans, Dhoni said.
Dhoni, who dropped his shoes from international cricket last year, has not played in the Tamil Nadu capital since IPL 2019.
Speaking about CSK’s ability to compose in big matches, the former India captain said, “We will try to keep it as normal as possible. We try to prepare well by getting enough sleep and we need to be prepared for the opposition we are playing. ”
