The franchise said on Sunday that all the Indian members of the Punjab Kings squad had returned home safely after the IPL suspension.
“After the suspension of IPL 2021, all the members of the PBKS team returned home safely and some were detained outside India before returning to their home countries,” the club said in a statement on Twitter.
“We thank the BCCI, other IPL franchises and our airline partner GoAir for their support,” it said.
The club urged its fans to “wear masks, adhere to social distance rules and hygiene protocols” to fight the COVID-19 epidemic.

The IPL was halted on May 4 after multiple COVID-19 cases were registered in its bubble.
