Adam Zampa said in the IPL 2021 bio-bubble that his ‘vulnerability’ concept was not due to fear that he would be infected with the Kovid-19 virus.
“My comments about the vulnerability of the IPL bubble have nothing to do with the notion that the virus will enter the bubble at any stage. The BCCI and RCB have taken many precautions to make us feel safe. I believe the tournament is in great hands … Australian leg-spinner Royal Challengers on Thursday Bangalore (RCB) said in an official statement.
“Kane and I both reached safety and reached Melbourne. Thanks to RCB management for resolving the situation … made their understanding of the situation even easier,” Jampa said.
Zampa said a bio-bubble had been set up for the ongoing T20 event, part of which he suggested would be held in the UAE as it was last year.
This happened after Jampa and his RCB and Australian teammate Kane Richardson withdrew from the season to go home “for personal reasons”, the IPL franchise announced on Monday.

The announcement came less than 24 hours before Australia announced a break for all direct flights from India due to an increase in COVID-19 cases and deaths in India. Zampa and Richardson landed in Melbourne on Thursday afternoon to catch a connecting flight from Doha. They will now spend the next two weeks in hotel custody.
“I spoke to Jumps a while ago and he made a very strong argument to go home. But for me, it’s safer for me to be in the bubble than to try and get home at this point,” Coulter Nile told Cricket.com.au.
Jampah’s RCB teammate Dan Christian praised the tough action for the tournament. “It’s very safe, and it doesn’t cost as much as you can shoot in this tournament,” Christian told the same publication.
