WINNER and Ms Money of the Bank: LIV MORGAN

VERDICT: An incredibly fun, entertaining and hard-hitting opening match. Sure there were a few moments when we were YELLING at the stars to just climb the bloody ladder, but far fewer than you sometimes get here. A load of great one-on-one battles, some memorable big hits, and very nice ending with that clever foot-on-the-rope from Liv to bounce herself into a position to get the victory. A

WINNER and NEW WWE United States Champion: Bobby Lashley

This content is imported from YouTube. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.

VERDICT: A really fast moving, entertaining match from the off. Theory had supreme confidence from the first bell but wasn’t afraid to be afraid when he needed to get out of trouble. He also wasn’t afraid to get a couple of fingers in the challenger’s eyes, but in the end Bobby Lashley had too much power and too much hunger. A match that was much better than we expected it to be, truth be told, and one that opens up some intrgiguing possibilities with SummerSlam (and the potential return of John Cena) around the corner. B+

Carmella winds up Bianca with a rude slap. Big mistake. Something wakes in the champ and she hits back, and immediately gets the challenger up in the air. KOD. One, two three and that’s it.

WINNER and STILL WWE Raw Women’s Champion: Biana Belair

But Carmella isn’t done. As Biana celebrates, Carmella gets to her feet and gets in a sneak attack on the champion with a flurry of blows. This one may not be over.

VERDICT: Far from a classic, but there were moments there were we almost believed that Carmella might do it which is a real credit to what she put into the match. A little stop-start in places, certainly, but a couple of nice exchanges, especially that cleanly-struck KOD at the end to give Bianca the win. C+

An Alexa Bliss and Lily skit to flog the WWE credit card. That’s all we’re gonna say about that.

WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship: The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) (c) vs The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)

Then a bit of double-teaming on Ford, only good for two. Angelo Dawkins can’t get near his teammate to help out. A massive chop from Jimmy Uso to the chest of Tez. And another.

Jey Uso legal. More double teaming. Wishbone. This one has slowed right down. Jey Uso crossface and then a blow to the face of Ford. Dawkins BEGGING for a tag but Jey won’t let it happen, and even superkicks him off the apron for good measure.

Ford powering out! He’s getting the punches and kicks but Dawkins isn’t there to help and Tez eats a BIG right hand from Jey Uso on the apron. Despite that, Tez manages to get a suplex on Jey on teh apron.

Sawkins is back up and Ford maks the tag! Flips over the top rope and knocks out both Usos. Je gets Jimmy back in foors him with a flying elbow and flurry of moves, ending with a spinning corckscrew, one, two NO! Kickout.

ONE, TWO, JIMMY MAKES THE SAVE!

All four men int eh ring now, face-to-face. A flurry of punches and kicks. Dawkins on the outside, Jimmy hits a superkick and then bundles Angleo over the barricade before getting back inside.

Another double superkick on Ford. Quick double-team. 1-D. Annnnd, one, two FINALLY three.

WINNERS and STILL WWE Undipsuted WWE Champions: The Usos (Jimmuy and Jey Uso)

But there’s more! A replay shows quite clearly that Montez Ford had his shoulder completely up! We fully expect a rematch at SummerSlam after that.

VERDICT: We weren’t sure at all about this for the opening moments. The very definition of a slow burner, this so gradually picked up its heat and eventually pace, that we didn’t even realise we were up on our feet by the end. We though the Profits had this not once but twice, but The Usos showed why they’ve been champs for so very long. The controversy of the finish (which we’ll admit to missing in real time) means that this one isn’t over, and given how good this ended up being, we don’t mind that at all. B+

This content is imported from Twitter. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.

“You deserve it” cheers echo around the arena.

VERDICT: It’s hard to give a verdict on a whole match when you get a cash-in THAT exciting at the end of it (cf WrestleMania 31), but even before Liv got invovled Nattie and Ronda delivered a really intriguing matchup that exceeded expectations. We expected Ronda to dominate, but it was Natalya who had most of the match. It was the sheer toughness of the Baddest Woman on the Planet that gave her the edge at the end. That tougness nearly pulled her through the cash-in, too, but it was a step too far, delivering a moment much of the WWE Universe has long been waiting for. B+

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus vs Omos vs Sami Zayn vs Riddle vs Madcap Moss

Riddle, then Seth, then Omos, then Sami, then Sheamus, then Drew and Madcap… and then Adam Pearce comes out and adds an eight contestant… Theory!

He comes out to a chorus of boos and nonplussed looks from teh other competitors.

Sheamus and Drew try to take down Omos, but he takes down both men, and then Riddle too. And then body slams McIntyre.

He slowly saunters to the outside and fends off a ladder attack from Rollins and Theory, using a ladder to knock down Drew and SHeamus, and then Riddle and Moss too.

Sami Zayn is HIDING behind the ringpost. Sheamus is braver than that and takes on the big man. He again fends off the attacks from allcomers.

Riddle locks in a submission mover but Omos powers out with an air of inevitability. Moss is flung, but Drew hits Omos with a Claymore and knocks him out the ring!

Drew gets the ladder up. He’s all by himself, His old pal Sheamus puts a stop to that and now gets the ladder himself. Drew returns the favour.

Both men go head to head, Theory attempts to sneak up, but he gets spotted, dragged down and beaten up by Sheamus and Drew. They fight over who can deliver the beating. Theory’s chest is red raw!

Now Sheamusa nd Drew go back at it before Seth Rollins breaks things up with a ladder, which he then flings at both men. Riddle then suprises Seth, and the ladder in the middle is put down.

Seth sets up a Pedigree onto the ladder, but Riddle counters into a backdrop and sthrow.

Sami emerges! Climbs the ladder but Moss gets him down. The ladder is down again. Then it comes down HARD on Madcap. Somehow Madcap survives that and rains blows down on Sami and flings him on to the ladder in the corner.

Madcap sets the ladder up! he’s going up! Riddle on the other side, but Omos has woken! He pulls Mascap down and then catches Riddle and body slams him. Theory goes off the top but Omos catches him and CHOKESLAM.

Omos takes his time… Moss and McIntyre get hands on the ladder and tip it, and then tip Omos out togehter. Sheamus thwacks him with a ladder, Ridle does that too. He’s eating ladder after after ladder till he’s buried in them!! Ooof!

Meanwhile, Rollins sneaks into the ring and gets ot the top of the ladder, but Sami Zayn slows him down. Sheamus gets a ladder next to them, the briefcase is swinging about.

One of the ladders falls, and now it’s Theory atop the one ladder standing. Madcap grabs him off and fallaway slams him out the reckoning, Can Madcap surprise everyone>!

He comes down to take Sami Zayn out of the equation, and sets up a ldder on teh rope. Sami scrambles over him and gets to the top but Madcap recovers and BANG! Sami powerbombed right onto the ladder. He’s not getting back into this match.

Madcap and McIntyre now atop a ladder exchanging blows. Drew has a hand on the brifcase, but SHeamus stops him from finishing the job, pulling down the ladder and then hitting a white noise.

Riddle back to his feet, but Sheamus gets him down, but Rddle dodges. Brogue kick and hits an RKO on the Irishman. Riddle survives attacks from McINtyre, Madcap, Rollins and Theory.

Sami reaches the summit! Surely now! No! Madcap throws him off but can’t get his hands on it. Seth now tips the ladder and hits a stomp on Moss.

Seth to the top! Riddle knocks him down with a much bigger ladder! He sets it, but Seth on the smaller one tries to put him off with punches, and succeeds! Seth is at the top, one hand on the case but he can’t free it.

Riddle gets back up, RKO OFF THE TOP OF THE LADDER. Both men down! Riddle first back up, he’s slowly slowly slowly climbing.

Theory clambers up the other side of the ladder. An echange of blows once more at the top. Theory gets Riddle off… and then he manages to get the briefcase!

WINNER and Mr Money in the Bank : Theory

VERDICT: Okay, the winner isn’t going to please anyone. It’s not pleasing us, but there was a story there and it was told with a lot of skill and some brutal moments, not least that RKO off the ladder. Omos did exceptionally well – the rest of the field did even better to stop him. Sheamus and Drew McIntyre lent on their long relationship and rivalry, while we enjoyed the bravado and bravery from both Riddle and Madcap Moss. We’d quibble that we could have done with more of Seth Rollins – a man with great MITB pedigree (excuse the pun), but it’s not easy for everyone to get their moment in such a crowded match. A solid match to end a solid PPV B

OVERALL VERDICT: As WWETV continues to flip between the ridiculous and sublime (and back again… sometimes many times over on the same night), the quality of this year’s PPVs has been consistently excellent, and today was no exception. A half-dozen matches with gold (or the chance of gold) on the line, and every single one felt like the big stakes match it was. There may not have been a 5* classic anywhere on the card, but neverthelss this Preium Live Event still absolutely delivered. Roll on SummerSlam. B+
