Taylor Sheridan will reportedly step in as showrunner on Paramount+’s “Lioness” series, replacing Thomas Brady (“NOS4A2”), who was originally attached.
According to VarietyBrady was present throughout the show’s writers room, but once it ended, creative differences led the producers and Brady to agree to part ways amicably.
“Yellowstone” creator Sheridan, executive producer of “Lionness” and co-creator of the series, will now take over showrunning duties.
The series will follow Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira), a rough-and-tumble but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement team to help take down a terrorist organization from the inside.
Zoe Saldana will play Joe, the Lioness show’s station chief tasked with training, managing and leading her trained female undercover agents to infiltrate terrorist and criminal networks.
Production on the show is now scheduled to begin in September.
