The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have sparked reports that another tell it all with oprah could be on the way after they paid a surprise visit to the star’s estate in California.
Waiting paparazzi snapped photos of Harry and Meghan’s car driving up to Oprah’s 70-acre, $100 million mansion on Saturday afternoon, along with her friend, actress Janina Gavankar.
According to witnesses, the former royals spent around an hour at the sprawling estate, which is just five minutes from their Montecito estate.
They arrived in a convoy of cars, including their own security team, with Harry at the wheel of the lead car.
Meanwhile, Meghan sat in the back next to a baby car seat while Gavankar sat up front next to Harry.
The visit has sparked rumors that Harry and Meghan are preparing for another exclusive chat with the renowned talk show host, after sat down for a revealing interview in 2021.
In May, reports emerged that Meghan was planning a second “damage control” interview with Oprah after the fallout from her televised talk last year.
Tina Brown, author of the palace papersHe said in his book that Meghan hoped to conduct a second interview to clear up any damage done to her reputation.
A royal source also said Heat: “Meghan feels having another conversation with Oprah is the best way to change the narrative and counter all the other negative statements she’s read about herself recently.”
“She has already been in contact with Oprah’s people,” the source claimed.
Oprah’s interview of Harry and Meghan, which aired on March 7, 2021, exposed a number of controversial claims the couple had about the royal family.
It was the first time the couple had publicly detailed their reasons for stepping back as working royals and choosing a life of financial independence in the United States.
One of the biggest moments in the two-hour conversation was the claim that a member of the royal family made racist comments about Archie before he was born.
Meghan said early on that there were talks within the royal family about how “dark” the baby’s skin would be.
The Duchess of Sussex also admitted that she had suicidal thoughts during her first pregnancy, but that the royal family did not help her at all.
Meghan told Oprah she “didn’t want to be alive” when public scrutiny and lack of support within the palace became too much.
She said the realization was “a very clear, real, terrifying constant thought.”
“I went to the institution and said I needed to go somewhere to get help. I said ‘I’ve never felt like this before, and I need to go somewhere.’ And they said I could.” t, which would not be good for the institution,” Meghan said.
Representatives for Meghan and Harry have neither confirmed nor denied rumors of a second television interview.
