During an interview with 9Entertainment, Blair spoke candidly about the couple’s fertility journey, their love story and the impact MAFS had in his life when he joined the experiment more than four years ago.

“I had a feeling that I would always need to do IVF. I don’t know why, I just thought that would be the route I would have to take,” Blair said.

“We had been trying for almost two years – we did all these tests and they never found anything wrong. They told us we could keep trying or we could do IVF so we went with that option.”

Blair said the couple began discussing the idea of IVF a year after they started trying to conceive.

After around 14 months, they met with fertility clinics and “we both did a bunch of tests.”

The couple’s journey continued from there, and months later, after a round of IVF, they found out they were expecting their first child together.

“We were very lucky,” Blair added.

Blair said she wanted to talk about her trip, as the subject is still quite “taboo” in society and “people don’t really talk about it, or are just starting to talk about it.”

“There are so many people I know who have been through that. You just don’t know until you talk about it.”

Blair said she and Robbie, who recently celebrated their fourth anniversary, were “over the moon” when they found out they were expecting.

“We were screaming, jumping excitedly around the kitchen,” he said.

“We told all of our friends for a while as we just wanted to be sure what would happen with IVF. It was the best feeling I’ve ever had.”

Speaking about her partner, she added: “Robbie was amazing.

“[IVF] it is definitely a difficult process; You’re all hormonal, I got really anxious and questioned everything I did because I didn’t want to sound like a hormonal freak.

“I’m so lucky I only had to do one round. Personally, I think I had a pretty easy ride. If I had to do it over again, I probably would.”

Blair said the couple discovered the gender and know what they want to name their unborn child, but are keeping that secret for now.

She went on to reveal how she and Robbie first became a couple, and their relationship blossomed when her failed on-screen marriage to Sean Thomsen was broadcast to the nation in 2018.

The happy couple now live by the beach in Manly, Sydney.

“She came up to me while the show was going,” she laughed. “We knew each other, and the rest is history really.”

When asked if the couple were considering getting married in the future, he added: “Yes, definitely. We talked about it, but it’s not high on our list.”

“We love each other and we’re going to be together forever, and now we’re going to have a baby! I’ve already done it one and a half times, so…”

Blair appeared on MAFS in 2018, and while she initially seemed to hit it off with Sean, their brief marriage didn’t last.

After Sean decided he wanted to leave during a commitment ceremony, Blair asked him the next day, “Spend another week with me, take a look at my reality. I just want you to see what it would be like.”

“I still have that ray of hope that I might change your mind.”

“It’s a little too late,” Sean replied.

“The thing I’ve been dealing with the last few weeks is, like, I can’t imagine us together. I’m sorry.”

Blair spoke about her time on the show, saying: “It was a good experience, a massive learning experience and I feel like I’ve grown from being on it.

“It definitely taught me to be aware of what I want in my future relationships, because I scrutinized that relationship a lot, it made me more aware of what I want.

“I think that’s why I found Robbie so easily. We connected on such a good level that I was in a good place and I knew what I wanted and what I didn’t want.”

“He took me to a really good place. He’s the perfect partner.”

While Blair met the love of her life, Sean briefly dated MAFSTracey’s jewel. However, their relationship ended months later.

Blair is due to give birth in November.
