Chris Pine turns 41 today. There is not much serious discussion on social media sites about who is the best Chris in Hollywood. The thing is, there are so many more. In Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, we have Chris Evans, Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth. Netizens share their own rank and file.
But it is time to resolve the debate. Pine is the best of all Christmas. Period.
1. Chris Pine is the Underdog who won the tournament
Although Chris’ rankings have skyrocketed, only non-MCU actor Pine regularly appears in the top 4 (next to Evans, Hemsworth and Pratt). Although MCU is not part of the franchise of a franchise surely his popularity has something to say to you? The other three Christmases have Marvel Studios, thanks to their popularity.
Sure, he’s been in DCEU, but it’s a supporting role and MCU’s biggest competitor is not in a great position right now. Pine admitted in an interview that he was an underdog in Chris. Speaking to Stir Crazy, he said irritably, “I take all the support I can get because I feel underdog right now … That damn Chris man, I’m just, changing my name or really stepping up.”
2. He is a master of both big blockbusters and indie cinema
Chris Pine is the best actor of all Christmas. Not only did he shine as a star in big franchises like Star Trek and DCEU, but he was also praised for his performance in small, indie movies.
You only have to look at his talent in the neo-Western masterpiece Hell or High Water to realize it. Even in movies with an average reception, such as the historical film Outlaw King, it is universally accepted that the script failed him. He is immaculate. And playing the role of the Scottish king of the 13th-14th centuries was not so easy for an American.
By comparison, Evans, Hemsworth and Pratt have had mixed-to-negative success in non-MCU and non-franchise roles. Evans only gets closer.
I do not know who to look up to but here are some pictures of Chris Pine walking out of an indie bookstore with a mask and a bag of giant books. pic.twitter.com/qbKSAVCcN7

Shall we say more? Although the previous two reasons are compelling enough, it certainly resolves the argument. As far as we know no other Chris has been seen in such a situation. We don’t even know if any of them are bibliophile.
