With Indian cinema halls reopening after the second wave of coronavirus, more movies are announcing their release dates. The latest addition to the bandwagon is the Ryan Reynolds starrer Free guy.
Directed by Shaun Levy, it will be released on September 17 in Indian theaters in English and Hindi. The film also stars Jodi Kamer, Joe Kiri, Lil Rail Howri, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi.
Ryan Reynolds plays the role of NPC or playable in the video game Free Guy, he regains consciousness and begins to plunge into existential crisis. The film was released overseas and scored 82 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, where the critical consensus was, “Combining a brilliant feeling, sweet, self-aware humor and a lovely cast, Free Guy is useless fun.”
Free Guy’s official summary reads, “Ryan Reynolds played a bank teller who actually learned that he was a background player in an open-world video game and decided to become a hero in his own story. In a world that now has no limits, before it is too late he is determined to be the one to keep his way.
Ryan Reynolds recently shared on Twitter that the sequel to Free Guy has already been green-lit.
