It’s no better than Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchett in the movie. Academy Award winner Adam McKay has brought the powerhouse of talent for a look-up, a sci-fi drama about two low-level astronomers trying to warn the world about a comet coming to Earth.
The makers released the Don’t Look Up First Look teaser on Wednesday and along with the amazing cast, the excellent background score and some funny dialogues raise hopes for the witty, smart entertainer.
According to the summary, “Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), an astronomy graduate student, and her professor, Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio), made the astonishing discovery of a rotating comet in the solar system. “
Meryl Streep appears as President Orlean, while Jonah Hill plays her son and Chief of Staff, Jason. Cate Blanchett plays the news anchor.
In addition to directing, Adam McKay also wrote the film, while also being one of the producers. It also stars Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Timothy Chalmet, Ariana Grande, Scott Meskudi (aka Kid right), Himesh Patel, Melanie Linsky, Michael Chicklees and Tomar Sisley.
Don’t Look Up hits theaters on December 10, but airs on Netflix from December 24.
