Australia’s most popular supermarkets compete head-to-head with their new ranges of collectible figurines.

Coles is releasing cardboard Harry Potter collectibles this school break to encourage kids to play, but this time there’s no plastic in sight.

The supermarket is well known for both its 2018 Little Shop campaign and ‘Stickeez’, which included small rubber fruit and vegetable items, but faced backlash for using so much excess plastic to produce them.

The new range of collectibles includes more than 30 characters from Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, including Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, made from cardboard that is also recyclable in household recycling bins.
