Bond Is Back: No Time to Die Premieres in London; Prince William-Kate Middleton and Daniel Craig turn heads

With a guest list of Oscar winners and British royalties, the James Bond film “No Time to Die” finally held its delayed world premiere on the film’s highest red carpet since the start of the Kovid-19 pandemic in London on Tuesday.

Humid weather Failed to reduce spirits as Daniel Craig, Wearing eye-catching pink velvet dinner jacket, co-stars including Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch and Lee Sedoux reunited for the much-anticipated film, which the film operator hopes will help bring audiences to a pre-pandemic level.

“No Time to Die”, the 25th Bond movie, was three times delayed from its original April 2020 slot as movie theaters around the world had to close their doors and impose an audience limit due to the epidemic.

Universal Pictures and MGM Film, one of the largest franchises in Hollywood, marks Craig’s fifth and final vacation as a British secret agent, ending a 15 – year tenure beginning with “Casino Royale” in 2006.

“It’s a great relief. It’s very important for me to come and celebrate with all the other cast and crew and take it to the movie theaters and we’re here,” Craig told Reuters.

“I never thought this would happen a year ago.”

When asked what he was most likely to lose by playing 007, he said: “People.”

With an estimated $ 200 million to produce, “No Time to Die” Bond came out of retirement in Jamaica and helped track down the new villain, while Oscar winner Malek was armed with “naughty (and) fraudulent” and deadly technology.

“The hardest part is coming up with a good story,” said director Carrie Joji Fukuna. “I think this is the last chapter in a book where we (first) met Daniel at ‘Casino Royale’ (and) it’s all part of the same story.”

The film introduced 00 Agent Nomi, played by Lynch, who said: “I’m glad it’s here and we celebrate it appropriately.”

Also in the premiere were Prince Charles of Britain and his son Prince William and their wives. Thanks to their frontline work during the epidemic, health workers and members of the Armed Forces were also invited. Former Bond actress Judy Dench and Grammy Award winner Billy Elish also sang the movie theme tune.

Launching this week, the movie “No Time to Die” is one of the most eagerly awaited movies this fall.

“I know the world is expecting this movie,” Sedoux said as she reprized her role as “Specter” as Madeleine Swann. “We gave everything to this film … and I hope people like it.”

The last two Bond films, after “Specter” of 2015 and “Skyfall” of 2012, have grossed more than $ 880 million and over $ 1 billion worldwide. “Now that Cinemas is open we are very happy to be supporting the industry,” said producer Barbara Broccoli. “We made this film for the movie and we want people to enjoy it.”
