The return of Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire as their respective versions of Spider-Man is the highlight of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Although the producers and writers said it would not be difficult to persuade the cast to return, Andrew finally opened up about what was the right reason for him to make the film.
In a recent interaction, the actor said that the now-famous scene of him catching his falling Spider-Man MJ (played by Zendia) convinced him to come back. “I can tell you a picture of my catching (Zendias) MJ – it’s really beautiful and it sold me out overall,” Andrew told Variety.
The scene came out that he wants to make a movie if he does anything meaningful for his part. He added, “Toby and I, but I think we were able to achieve something other than just looking and moving, ‘Hi! Bye! ‘ My Spider-Man had to effectively protect the sexual relationship with his younger brother (Tom Holland’s Spider-Man).
Many fans have claimed that Andrew’s role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 mirrors his failure to defend his own gurp Gwen Stacey (played by Emma Stone). Andrew agreed that it was true. “To heal the most painful moment of his life by doing it for his younger brother. To make sure he’s not going the same way, there’s something cosmopolitan in it. Having a second chance at saving Gwen ‘means I’m so thankful for tying some loose ends to Peter,” he added.
