Came to court to escape arrest
Mumbai police have also launched an investigation into Sameer Wankhede in a corruption and bribery case. Police have set up a four-member inquiry committee into the case. Wankhede filed a petition in the Bombay High Court challenging the decision. Following this, the court directed the Mumbai police to give three working days notice before arresting Sameer Wankhede or taking any action. Apart from this, he demanded an independent investigative agency to investigate the allegations.
