A resident of Rudrapur in Deoria district, Mr. Ramkripal’s son Manish (22) is getting married to the daughter of a resident of Siswa Bazaar in Maharajganj district. People from both sides gathered at the Dharamshala at the Dharmasamadha Temple in Ramkola. Rudrapur residents left for their homes after the engagement ceremony was over. Manish, 22, Jeetu, 27, Sundaram, 29, Sonu Verma, 26, Abhishek, 26, Pawan Chaudhary, 25, and Rampare, 25, were in the car. On the way from Ramkola to Rudrapur via Kaptanganj, a car and a tractor-trolley collided head-on in front of Rampur Bagahan village. Nine people in the car were seriously injured. All the injured were admitted to Kaptanganj CHC by Ramkola police, where Dr Rampare was pronounced dead.

At the same time, all the injured were shifted to Gorakhpur Medical College after first aid. Kaptanganj CHC in-charge Dr Rupesh Kushwaha said the condition of all the injured was out of control. Relatives of the injured rushed to the CHC immediately after being informed of the incident. Shouts were heard.
