The first Zika virus patient in Uttar Pradesh was found in Kanpur. Air Force Station Warrant Officer MM Ali (57) was diagnosed with the infection. He was admitted to the Air Force Hospital. Based on the symptoms, the hospital management sent his sample to Pune for testing. The report came on Saturday.

He was rushed to an Air Force hospital. His sample was sent to Pune for testing, in which he was diagnosed with the Zika virus. He lives in Pokharpur. The news of the Zika infection patient caused a stir in the health department. Samples were collected from all the people who worked with him and got acquainted with him in Porkpur. Samples will be sent to Pune for testing.
