September 2021 has become another tough month for the Indian automobile industry as many automakers have reported a slowdown in sales. However, some two-wheeler manufacturers have also been able to record positive growth figures despite challenging market conditions. Here we tell you about the top 5 best selling scooters in the Indian market in September 2021.

Honda Activa

Honda has continued to dominate the Indian scooter market since the launch of the Activa. The ‘Activa’ brand has two models – Activa 125 and Activa 6G. The two scooters sold a total of 2,43,353 units in September 2021. With these figures, the Activa is ahead of the second-best scooter in the list of best-selling scooters in terms of overall monthly sales. Furthermore, it is worth noting that sales in September this year were down 4.87 per cent year-on-year (YoY) compared to September 2020. Honda sold a total of 2,57,900 units in September last year.

TVS Motor Company’s Jupiter is one of the most loved scooters in India. In September 2021 sales, the company was able to register a year-on-year growth of 0.45 per cent by selling 56,339 units last month. In September 2020, TVS Jupiter sold 56,085 units. With these sales figures, Jupiter ranks second on the list of best-selling scooters.

Suzuki was able to sell 45,040 units of access scooters last month. On a year-on-year basis (YoY) sales were down 15.07 percent. This is because the company sold 53,031 units in September last year.

Honda Dio -: Honda

Honda Dio

Honda has taken another place in the list of top-5 selling scooters with its Dio scooter. In September 2021, 34,557 units of Honda Dio scooters were sold. On a year-over-year basis, the company recorded 2.73 per cent growth in Dio sales last month.

TVS Ntorq 125 ranked fifth in terms of sales in September 2021. The company sold 29,452 units of Entork last month. TVS recorded 12.63% growth in Ntorq sales on an annualized basis last month.
