Sibal arguing on Zakia’s petition .. ” I do not want to mention anyone’s name. This is a security issue. This should not happen again. I want to check. I do not want to believe anything at this stage.

Before the bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar, advocate Kapil Sibal submitted to his client that he had nothing to do with high-level personalities and politics. The issue is related to law and order and the rights of individuals. Sibal argued on a petition filed by Zakia challenging the SIT report which had given clean chit to the then Gujarat Chief Minister Modi and other high-ranking officials.
The bench said it wanted to see the final report approved by the magistrate. Sibal said the petitioner had complained to the Gujarat DGP that law and order in the state had been damaged after the Godhra incident and that the riots were a massive conspiracy.
Petition on clean chit to Modi and others
Sibal said the 23,000-page material was not limited to the Gulbarga Society case. We want this court to see only these pages. What will happen to the judiciary if the court is limited to Gulberg? The petition, filed in 2018, will continue to be heard on Wednesday.
Zakia, 81, has filed a petition against the orders of the Gujarat High Court dated October 5, 2017, defending the clean chit to Supreme Court-appointed SIT Modi and others.
