The National Corona Virus Command Council (NCCC) has confirmed that the country is now in the fourth wave of the corona epidemic. It appealed to its citizens to adhere to physical distance, wear masks and maintain hygiene to prevent further spread of the infection. Also, it is requested to stay away from crowded events, as such events are super spread of the disease.
Relatively low statistics on recruitment and mortality
A statement from the Anti-Coronavirus Authority said the new wave would spread faster than previous waves, mainly due to the omicron variant of the virus. However, the number of hospital admissions and deaths due to infection is very low. Despite the increase in cases, the country remains at the lowest point in the five-pronged strategy for sanctions.
Cases of Kovid-19 infection are increasing rapidly
