Today, Wednesday, the third day of the week, the stock market opened at its highest level. The Sensex crossed 61. The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex opened with a gain of 13.11 points at 61125.16. Meanwhile, the National Stock Exchange Nifty opened with a gain of 1.70 points at 18270.10.

Large stocks condition

Speaking of big stocks, in today’s opening trade, Asian Paint, SBI, UPL, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Bank, Sun Pharma, Nestle and ICICI Bank opened at the green mark. At the same time, shares of Power Grid, Bajaj Finance, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank and Tata Motors opened at the red mark.

The BSE’s 30-share Sensex opened with a strong trend on Tuesday, but fell in afternoon trading. But in the last hour the pace picked up again. Finally, the Sensex gained 383.21 points, or 0.63 per cent, to close at 61,350.26. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty gained 143 points, or 0.79 per cent, to 18,268.40.
