Listen to the news
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said at a review meeting on pollution in Delhi that the decision to reopen schools would be taken only after the winter holidays. The Supreme Court has repeatedly heard this after air pollution increased. All schools in Delhi were closed again on December 2 after a court reprimand.
On the other hand, Harish Mehra, president of the Delhi Parents’ Association, said the schools had been closed for a long time and keeping them closed would play with the children’s future. Environment Minister Gopal Roy, on the other hand, said classes above sixth standard would start soon and elementary classes would also start from December 20.
