The case is in the city of Ludhiana in Punjab. Harwansh Kaur, who lives here, claimed accident insurance after the death of his family members, which was rejected by the bank.

Rajiv Mehta of Delhi shared HDFC Bank’s letter on social media. In the letter, the bank stated the reason for rejecting Harwansh’s claim. According to the letter, the person who took out the insurance policy died in a road accident on 19 April 2020. At the time he was riding a 346cc bike. The bank says it is not covered by the claim. This is because the deceased was riding a 346cc bike at the time of the accident. According to the accident insurance regulations, the claim will not be paid in the event of an accident with a bike or scooter with a capacity of more than 150cc.
