BJP MP criticized
BJP MP Kirori Lal Meena has strongly criticized the ADGP’s directives. He said the Congress government in the state was an anti-Hindu government and demanded that the orders be withdrawn.
BJP MP Meena said the police were wasting their time and energy in issuing such “irrational orders” instead of maintaining a ‘deteriorating’ security situation. Meena said the order issued by the police had exposed the “anti-Hindu” face of the Congress government and it should be withdrawn immediately.
To this end, the police officers / staff and other unit in-charges have been directed to strictly abide by the Rajasthan Religious Buildings and Places Act, 1954.
ADGP Ponnuchami said in his order that the trend of building public places of worship in the name of faith in various office complexes / police stations in the police department has increased over the last few years. , Which is not legal.
He said the Rajasthan Religious Buildings and Places Act 1954 prohibits religious use of public places. Apart from this, there is no provision for the construction of a prayer hall in the map prepared and approved for the construction of administrative buildings for police stations.
