The captain said a solution could be found. So far, the farmers’ meetings with the Center have been incomplete, but behind-the-scenes talks are underway. Speaking to reporters at a hotel in Chandigarh on Tuesday, the former chief minister said there was no pre-determined formula to address the farmers’ concern and something would come up during the talks.
He said the central government and farmers now want a solution to the crisis caused by agricultural laws. He clarified that he had never met any farmer leader in this regard. The reason behind this is that the farmers want no politician to participate in their movement. Former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had earlier held talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the farmers’ concern.
