In the new initiative, Union ministers are using carpooling to join Chintan Shivers. The Union Ministers’ Meetings were named Chintan Shivir. Sources said on Tuesday that the meetings were aimed at improving efficiency, service delivery and overall governance.

Sources said that so far three meetings have been held on efficiency, time management, focus on project implementation, policies and dealing with shareholders, according to a report in the news agency PTI. Meanwhile, the fourth meeting in the series will take place on Tuesday.

According to sources, the carpooling system has been adopted since the third meeting. Usually two state ministers go in the same car for one cabinet minister. These presentations were followed by free-wheeling discussions on various related topics. Here Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave his advice.
