Refused to plead guilty
Rahul Gandhi has appeared in Surat court several times in the past. The judge questioned whether Rahul Gandhi had pleaded guilty to the crime last time. In response, Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer Kirit Panwala said he had not pleaded guilty. He is expected to appear in court that day between 3 and 6 p.m.

During the Karnataka election campaign on April 13, 2019, Rahul Gandhi asked why Neerav Modi, Lalit Modi and Narendra Modi all have common surnames. He further said that why is the surname of all the thieves Modi? Since Gandhi’s last appearance in court, the statements of two other witnesses have been recorded on video recorder by the then Election Returning Officer and the Election Commission in Kolar, Karnataka.
