Listen to the news

Delhi University (DU) is set to release a special cutoff today. Under this, students who have not been admitted in the last three cutoffs have this special opportunity. In such a situation, students can fulfill their dream of getting admission in their favorite college and course in this cutoff. So far, out of 70,000 graduate seats in DU, the admission process has been completed for over 60,000 seats.

According to the DU administration, after the release of the special cutoff on Monday, students can apply for admission from 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Students will have the opportunity to apply from October 26 to October 27 at 11:59 p.m. After this, colleges must approve student admissions by 5pm on October 28th. At the same time, students will have the opportunity to deposit the admission fee by 5pm on October 29th. Students will have fewer days of admission this time as compared to the previous cutoff. In the previous cutoff, students had four days to apply, this time only two days.

Special opportunity for students who have not yet been admitted
In the special cutoff, students who have not yet been admitted in all three cutoffs will have a special opportunity to take admission. Those students can apply for admission in this cutoff. However, students will not have the opportunity to change colleges and courses. Under this cutoff, students can change the college and course of admission to the next cutoff. In such a situation, the university advised the students to confirm the course and college before taking admission.

There will be a separate cutoff around the previous cutoff
The special cutoff released on Monday will not be much different than the third cutoff previously released. This cutoff is placed around the previous cutoff. However, in this cutoff, students have better chances of admission. For example, if a college releases a 95 percent cutoff in any one subject. In such a situation, only students with 95 per cent or more marks can apply under this cutoff. This is the reason why students who have got higher marks earlier are not admitted. Such students have a special opportunity for admission this time.

Enter only a limited number
Of the total 70,000 seats in the DU, 60,000 seats were registered. In such a situation, there are now opportunities for admission only in limited seats. Even in the special cut-off, those colleges will only release those colleges that have vacant seats in the last three cut-offs. The DU administration hopes this cutoff will help fill most of the vacant seats. After this, the chances of admission with students will also decrease.

The fourth cutoff will be released on October 30
The DU will release a fourth cutoff on October 30 to fill the vacant seats after this cutoff. The admissions process will continue till November 6. Even in this cutoff, students have only two days to apply for admission. However, until this cutoff, the chances of admission to even limited courses at leading colleges will decrease.
