Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the All India Conference of Mayors in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh via video conference. The conference was also attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Prime Minister Modi said that most cities in our country are not traditional cities and have developed them in a traditional manner. In this modern age, the antiquity of these cities is equally important. Our city should also be clean and healthy, which is our endeavor.

Let us inform you that 139 mayors from across the country arrived in Varanasi on Thursday for the Mayor’s Conference. At the All India Conference of Mayors, mayors from all over the country will be shown a hygienic picture of Kashi, Pune and Maharashtra. Arrangements have been finalized for the All India Mayors’ Conference to be held at TFC in Bada Lalpur. A brief overview of New Urban India and Changing UP will be presented at the conference. An exhibition of Glimpses of New India and Changing UP and Development Works will also be held at TFC on Friday.
On December 18 and 19, the show will also be open to the public. The Mayor’s Conference, which begins Dec. 17 at 4,800 locations in various cities, will be heard by people from all over the country.

The New Urban India theme will be presented at a short film screening conference by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, while a short film on urban development will be screened by the Urban Development Department. Apart from this, a film prepared by Varanasi and Smart City Varanasi will also be screened.
