Nishad’s party and BJP have formed an alliance for the Assembly elections. Four per cent of the total voters in the state belong to the Nishad community and in some places the Nishad community is believed to play a decisive role. The BJP has devised a strategy to increase the Nishad Samaj vote bank after forging alliances with other smaller parties, including Subhash, who belongs to the Samajwadi Party.
According to the strategy, the BJP and Nishad’s party held a joint rally on December 17 in the capital, Lucknow. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Dr Dinesh Sharma and MP Praveen Nishad will also address the rally, BJP state media in-charge Manish Dixit said.
Siddharthanath Singh examined the arrangements
MSME Minister Siddharthanath Singh on Thursday reached Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan and inspected the arrangements for the rally. He was accompanied by Nishad party president Sanjay Nishad and MP Praveen Nishad. Necessary suggestions were made regarding venue, transport and betting arrangements at the rally.
