Those over 60 are urged to stay indoors
The government allowed only drug stores and essentials stores to open. Vladimir Putin said that because the situation in 85 regions of Russia is particularly dire, work can be stopped early and the holidays can be extended beyond November 7. At that point, most government agencies and private businesses will also have to stop working, excluding major infrastructure and others. Putin has asked local authorities to order those over 60 who have not been vaccinated to stay at home.
