Two others were arrested on Tuesday in the Tikunia incident in Lakhimpur Kheri. Two accused, Vichitra and Gurwinder, were arrested in the case. The investigation team has been taking the two accused into their custody since Monday evening. Gurvinder was picked up by the investigation team from Singhahi police station three days ago and Vichitra Singh reached the police station on Monday evening to record his statement.

Action was taken under the FIR registered by the BJP member
The two arrests were made under a cross-FIR registered by BJP member Sumit Jaiswal following the violence in the Tikunia case. Both the accused will now appear in court. Gurvinder Singh is said to be residing at Mokarampur Aliganj Police Station Gola and Vichitra Singh Gogwan Police Station Bhira.

Two BJP activists and two others, including a journalist, have been accused of involvement in the Tikunian violence.

A total of 15 arrests have been made so far
Earlier on October 23, the Crime Branch SWOT team arrested three more accused on the instructions of the investigation team. Among the accused arrested were Mohit Trivedi, Rinku Rana and Dharmendra. All three were sitting in Scorpio at the time of the violence. A total of 15 people have been arrested so far in the case, including today’s action.
