India could become an international health tourism hub: Mandavya
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia said at an event that India has the potential to become an international health tourism hub. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that health is linked to development in India because of his vision. There are enormous opportunities for investment in the health sector in the country. He was addressing the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Asia Health 2021 Conference. The theme of the conference is ‘Transforming Healthcare for a Better Tomorrow’.
Mandavya said that earlier health meant only cure and now health is associated with development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s main idea is that only a healthy society can become a prosperous country. He said the government was committed to access, accountability and awareness for a better future for the healthcare sector and was constantly striving to further improve these services.
