The Union Home Ministry on Thursday decided to extend the existing COVID restrictions until November 30 to curb the spread of the coronavirus epidemic. The government’s decision comes in the wake of a 20 per cent increase in Kovid cases compared to yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 16,156 new corona cases were reported in the country. Now the number of cases has increased to three crore 42 lakh 31 thousand 909.

Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia said at an event that India has the potential to become an international health tourism hub. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that health is linked to development in India because of his vision. There are enormous opportunities for investment in the health sector in the country. He was addressing the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Asia Health 2021 Conference. The theme of the conference is ‘Transforming Healthcare for a Better Tomorrow’.

Mandavya said that earlier health meant only healing and now health is associated with development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s main idea is that only a healthy society can become a prosperous country. He said the government was committed to access, accountability and awareness for a better future for the healthcare sector and was constantly striving to further improve these services.
