Controversy in Indian cricket continues to escalate after the removal of Virat Kohli from the ODI captaincy. According to media reports, Sourav Ganguly has now said that he will not comment on the matter and that the BCCI is acting properly. Earlier, at his press conference, Virat Ganguly denied the allegations and said that BCCI officials had told him 90 minutes ago that Rohit would now be the captain of the ODI team in his place. At the same time, Ganguly said in a previous conversation with a media house that he had spoken to Kohli before taking over the ODI captaincy and that the decision was taken only after his consent.
Virat told a news conference that the selectors had told him an hour and a half before the team selection for the Test series that he was being removed from the ODI captaincy. The BCCI has not spoken to him in the past. At the same time, Ganguly said that he had spoken to Kohli along with Chetan Sharma.

Ganguly said the BCCI had asked Virat not to relinquish the T20 captaincy but he did not agree and resigned. At the same time the decision of the selectors to have two different captains in limited overs cricket did not seem right.
