WHO approval for Kovacsin depends on today’s meeting: Mandavia
On the other hand, on the approval of Kovacin by the WHO, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia said that the WHO has a system, which includes a technical committee that approves Kovacin, and the second committee will meet today. Kovacsin will be approved based on today’s meeting.
Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat provided information on the Health Infrastructure Mission
Apart from this, under the ‘Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission’, two containers with all health care facilities will be set up so that they can be moved from one place to another in case of emergency, the health minister said. Mandavya said each container will have a capacity of 200 beds and will be set up in Delhi and Chennai. These containers can be transported by air or rail in case of emergency.
He said the central government had adopted a ‘holistic’ approach to the healthcare sector rather than a ‘symbolic’ one. He said the COVID-19 Global Epidemic has provided an opportunity to improve health care infrastructure, for which the ‘Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission’ has been launched with an investment of Rs 64,000 crore.
