Fertilizer crisis intensifies in Madhya Pradesh Dhanpal Yadav, a farmer, committed suicide by drinking insecticide in Ashoknagar. He was worried about the drying up of crops and the lack of fertilizer due to the rains. The case is from Piprol village under Isagarh police station in Ashoknagar.
According to sources, Dhanpal Yadav, 40, reached his home around 8:30 pm on Wednesday. Dhanpal’s nephew Vijaypal said he has been worried about fertilizer for the last 15 days. He drank insecticide after coming home on Wednesday night. He was pronounced dead at the Ashoknagar District Hospital.
Vijayapal was angry that there was no good crop this time on his uncle’s farm. The rain destroyed everything. He was trying to plant seeds in the field when it rained a few days ago. This requires fertilizer. My uncle has been roaming around Ashoknagar and other places for manure every day for the last 15 days. However, they did not get manure. That is why he committed suicide by drinking poison. The deceased’s nephew also said that Dhanapal had eight to 10 bighas of land.
Politics also began on farmer suicides. Congress leader Digvijay Singh tweeted that a farmer who had found fertilizer in Ashoknagar in Isagarh district had committed suicide by drinking poison. Mamu (Shivraj Singh Chauhan) sent all the manure to the areas where by-elections are taking place. Vote in the by-elections on the 30th and after that the fertilizer supply to those areas will also stop. Those who put manure in the godowns are doing massive black marketing. Earlier, his son, Raghogarh MLA Jaiwardhan Singh, had written a letter to the Chief Minister to remove the shortage of fertilizer in Ashoknagar, Guna.
