Police have arrested one of the two thugs who snatched a mobile phone from a young woman on her way home from duty on Thursday evening and dragged her 100 meters from Fortis Hospital in Shalimar Bagh. Police are scouring for a second suspect.

In fact the girl chased the thugs to get the phone back and hung it on the back of the bike. Fearing being caught, the assailants increased the speed of the bike and dragged the girl about a hundred meters down the road. The assailants fled when the girl dropped her arm and fell down. The whole incident was recorded on a CCTV camera.

The girl was in a state of shock after the incident despite being currently discharged from the hospital. The girl rolled to her knees. Police, who identified the thugs based on CCTV footage, arrested one and seized a Scooty used in the crime from him. On the other hand the gallows proceedings for the second accused are ongoing. The incident took place around 7 pm, according to police officials. The girl is working as a nurse assistant at Fortis Hospital. She is finishing work and going home. During this sequence two intruders who came on the bike locked the phone in his hand.
