Now that Kunal has appeared in his office, speculation has started that he had something to do with the Narcotics Control Bureau attack on the cruise ship earlier this month, which led to the arrest of Aryan Khan and others.
However, according to NCB sources, Kunal Johnny was arrested by the agency in a special drug case and when Aryan Khan was brought there, he was in the office as his statement was also being recorded at the time.
The NCB arrested businessman Kunal Johnny on September 30 in a drugs case in which actor Arjun Rampal’s accomplice Agicilas Demetrios was also accused. There are allegations that Demetrios is running a drug syndicate.
Johnny’s name came up in the case of Sushant Rajput’s death
NCB sources said that Johnny’s name first came to the fore in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials received a chat over the phone with Johnny and Rhea Emperors discussing drugs.
Also, actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra is a partner in Kunal Johnny Hotel. Kundra, who is accused in a pornography case, was released from jail on bail last month. After the video appeared, many questions were raised in the NCB, and Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Routh shared the video on his Twitter handle.
