A one-and-a-half-year-old girl fell in Borobudur while playing on Thursday afternoon in Dauni village under Naugaon police station. The girl was rescued during the operation which lasted till midnight.

The administration team rushed the girl to the hospital as soon as the one-year-old baby Divyanshi was taken out of the borewell. According to sources, the house of farmer Rajesh Kushwaha was built on the farm where his wife Janki Kushwaha and one year old daughter Divyanshi were staying. While playing he went some distance from home and fell into an open borehole on the farm.
Family members tried to rescue him earlier
The family members started searching as Divyanshi’s family members had not been seen for a long time. While the family was searching for the girl, Divyanshi started screaming from Borobudur. Family members tried to get him out but immediately reported the incident to police.

As soon as the matter was known, SDM Vinay Dwivedi, Tehsildar Sunita Sahani, SDOP Kamal Kumar Jain, Naugaon station in-charge Deepak Yadav, Lugasi outpost in-charge Atul Zha, Garoli outpost and heavy police forces rushed to the spot. . Excavations continued with JCB at the scene. SP Sachin Sharma and Collector Sandeep were also present at the spot. Fortunately, however, Divyanshi’s voices kept coming out of the borewell, which showed that she was safe.
