Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today announced the formation of his new party. He will soon announce his party name. The captain said his party would contest a total of 117 seats in the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections. For this we make alliances with other parties or fight ourselves on our own party basis.
The Congress has broken up many times before the Captain left the party and many strong leaders have left the party and are on their own path. Others joined another party, while others formed a new party. After independence almost 70 parties split from the Congress and formed. Many of these are dead, and some still exist today. It should be an easy path for all the leaders who have split from the Congress and formed a new party, but there are also a few names who have embraced each challenge apart from venturing to form a separate party.
These leaders founded their own regional party and not only waved the political flag but also wrote a new success story.
