In this context, the Samajwadi Party, the Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party have released their first list of candidates. Now the Bharatiya Janata Party has also held a press conference on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and released the first list of its candidates. The list also includes the names of several cabinet ministers, including CM Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.
Highlights from the press conference
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today inaugurated a press conference to wish the people of the country on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. He said that our government is a government run by the mantra of Ka Ka Saath Sab Ka Vishwas. Today we announce the names of Phase I and II candidates. He said that the mantra of eradication of corruption and gangsterism was given by our government last time. Many poor people in UP are benefiting from our schemes. The Yogi government has made UP without riots. Development here is rapid, and new medical colleges are rapidly opening. Massive construction is taking place in UP from expressways to airports. Pradhan said that this has given new impetus to UP. With the same clarity we believe that we will win this great festival in 2022 and UP will pour blessings on us.
Pradhan said 57 seats would be announced today for the 58 seats in the first phase and 48 seats in the second phase. The names of the next steps will be announced after consultation with the seniors. We did as we were told. Our tradition in UP is to field SC candidates even in general seats. Sarva Samaj Sarva Sanghi is represented.
