Giving big information on Tuesday, a senior Pentagon official said the U.S. intelligence agency feared that the Islamic State in Afghanistan could launch a major attack on the United States in six months. U.S. Secretary of Defense Colin Khal said the U.S. may withdraw from Afghanistan but the threat is not over. Khal said the Taliban may have won the war in Afghanistan, but they still face the challenge of the Islamic State. He said it was difficult to predict whether the Taliban would be able to stop Islamic State terrorism. He said the United States would also be threatened if a terrorist organization attempted an attack on Afghanistan.

The Islamic State and the Taliban are enemies of each other

He said the Islamic State of Khorasan and the Taliban were mutual enemies. So the Taliban must tread carefully. The Islamic State has a cadre of thousands of terrorists, which is engaged in increasing its cadre in other countries, including the United States.
