The 18th ASEAN-India Summit will focus on the corona epidemic, international development, business and other issues. In addition, the conference reviews the status of strategic partnerships and discusses progress made in key areas, including health, commerce and commerce, connectivity and education and culture. There will also be brainstorming on significant regional and international developments, including economic recovery after the corona epidemic.
The PMO said that the ASEAN-India Summit is held every year, through which India and ASEAN have the opportunity to connect at the highest level. Prime Minister Modi also attended the 17th ASEAN-India Summit in November 2020.
The PMO said the ASEAN-India strategic partnership stands on a strong foundation of geographical, historical and civilization ties. ASEAN is at the heart of our Act East Policy and our comprehensive vision of Indo-Pacific. 2022 marks 30 years for ASEAN-India relations. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar participated in the ASEAN-India Foreign Ministers ‘Meeting and the EAS Foreign Ministers’ Conference in August 2021.
