After the sudden death of Shri Mahant Narendra Giri, the Brahmin President of Akhara Parishad, the politics of the saints and the battle for chairs emerged from the arenas. This struggle made history repeat itself. A total of 13 chambers were split and seven chambers were elected on October 21 as Mahanirvani Secretary, Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri as President and Rajendra Das of Byragi Akhara as General Secretary. Nirmal Akhara, who was included in these seven akhadas, was also divided into two and Mahant Resham Singh and his saints supported the current working committee of the council.

Meanwhile, on Monday, saints of seven academies, including the Resham Singh community of Nirmal Akhara in Prayagraj, elected Mansa Devi Temple Trust president and Sri Niranjani Akhara secretary Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri as council president. Mahant Madan Mohandas of Bairagi Akhara sent a letter of support.
Shri Niranjani Akhara Secretary received the support of the saints from all the eight Akharas. In the arenas, the conflict between the inner-Khana saints also intensified. Fires erupted about support and protest. Both factions of the Akhara Parishad began betting on the Akhara saints to their advantage.
