The movie starring Kangana Ranaut is Talaivi Came to theaters on Friday. The film was launched with a positive response from critics, but according to some reports, it has not been translated into movie box office numbers.
One of the main reasons for Talaivi’s dismal start on TV counters is that major multiplex chains such as PVR Cinemas, Inox Leisure Ltd and Cinepolis have refused to screen the Hindi version of the film in North India due to its low screen size.
According to a Box Office India report, AL Vijay Direction grossed Rs 20-25 lakh on Hindi circuits and Punjukuni grossed Rs 80 lakh in Tamil Nadu, with the film grossing Rs 1.25 crore on Friday. According to Bollywood Hungama, the Hindi version of the film was released on the opening day for Rs. Earned 20 lakhs.
Talaivi describes the life of the late actor and politician J Jayalalithaa. It showcases her journey from Ace Actor to Tamil Nadu six times as Chief Minister. The film stars Kangana Ranaut as Arvind Swamy, an actor-turned-politician and MGR. Actors Prakash Raj, Bhagyashree and Jishu Sen Gupta are playing other important roles in the film.
The Indian Express’ film critic Shubhra Gupta shared In her review, “That Jayalalithaa life is designed for a movie, no one can dispute. Now, when Kangana Ranaut sees this version of Jaya in the title judging entirely by her vulnerability and heater, there is no doubt that she has that part. Would a prominent Tamil woman with a better understanding of language and body language have done a better job? The question is now fundamental. “
