Richa Shada on moving to live with Ali Fadl: ‘I have no unnecessary burdens alone to take care of the house’

Richa Shada opened up about moving in with her boyfriend, Ali Fadl, and how she felt it was a miracle to find him. In a new interview with Hindustan Times, she talks about how things are working out between them.

Richa Shada and Ali Fadl moved in together in November of last year. When asked about the things that make her respect him in a relationship, she said, “We’re really good friends. We’re thick as friends. We started out as friends. We started with conversations about literature and theater and our shared passions, music and poetry. So our base is very strong that way. That’s why, now that we’re starting Living together, there is no unnecessary burden on me alone to take care of the house or household things, like dealing with a carpenter or a plumber. We manage it all well.”

“We’ve had one closing since we moved. We split the chores between us. We definitely give each other space around our work. I don’t think he has to do anything special for me, I think his day to day life is very similar… It’s a very equal family. Not like the previous generation where women were expected to do all the housework. Ali Fadl cooks great, keeps the house great. He’s become a good dad to cats. “All of these things matter a lot to me,” Richa added.
