Ranbir Kapoor confused as paparazzi wish him a happy birthday: “Kiska Hai?”

Although there are less than 20 days left for Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday, the paparazzi in Mumbai couldn’t help but wish him well in advance. On Wednesday, they spotted the actor outside a dubbing studio in the city.

When he got out of his car, he was surrounded by a group of photographers. As he stood for a moment to stand in front of them, one of the photographers shouted, “Happy birthday Ranbir.” Soon, a few others followed, leaving Ranbir confused.

“Happy birthday, Kiska Hai (whose birthday is it)?” He asked them before joking with them and walking away.

Ranbir turns 39 later this month. Last year, his girlfriend Alia Bhatt shared a glimpse of the festivities on Instagram. She shared a picture of him sitting at a table with cakes in front of him. “Happy 8th birthday,” she captioned the photo. His sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also revealed that Ranbir had her birthday lunch with her and their mother Neetu Kapoor.

Ranbir’s birthday falls in the same month with his father, late actor Rishi Kapoor. On Rishi’s 69th birthday, on September 4, Neetu gathered with Shatrughan Sinha, directors David Dhawan and Rahul Roel and Rishi’s older brother Randhir Kapoor to remember him.

They arranged a cake, which included a few of Rishi’s favorite things like a bottle of whiskey, a Twitter logo, a bowl of curried lamb, nag champa incense sticks, a guitar and a chord tape from his old songs, and a piece of the actor.

Speaking of the meeting, Chatrougan told a leading daily, “The meeting was a kind of celebration, but we need to be commended here for accepting the situation; it got emotional, Randhir was a bit calm and not his usual self. But then we understand how close Randhir was. From Rishi. Add this to his other loss this year when Rajiv Kapoor passed away in February.”

Meanwhile, Ranbir has been busy with some of his upcoming projects. The actor will appear in Brahmastra with Alia, Shamshera with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, and an untitled movie Luv Ranjan. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Boney Kapoor. Ranbir will also start working on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, co-starring Parineeti Chopra and Anil Kapoor.
