Priyanka Chopra joins Jonas Producers Guild of America, says ‘thank you for joining’

Producers Guild of America (PGA) has added actor-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas as a member of the organization. According to its official website, PGA is a non-profit organization that represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the production team in film, television and new media.

The full production team has over 8,000 members in the script, non-fiction, documentary, animation and new media segments.

The guild shared the ad on Twitter.

“# Membership Monday: ,producersguild welcomes actress, singer and filmmaker @priyankachopra as a member. Ms Chopra Jonas has 14 producer credits to her name, including executive producer credit for #TheWhiteTiger,” the post posted.

The 39-year-old actor expressed his gratitude towards PGA on Twitter on Wednesday.

“Thank you for the introduction. Thank you @producersguild,” Priyanka wrote.

The Indian actor has made a name for himself in his homeland with films like Fashion, Kaminey and Bajirao Mastani.

She was one of the few Bollywood actresses to start a successful career in the West with a TV show called Quantico as well as movies like Baywatch and Inst It Romantic.

She also runs a production house, Purple Pebbles Pictures, in support of the National Award-winning Marathi films “Ventilator” and “Pani”.

Priyanka recently co-produced and starred in Ramin Bahrani’s The White Tiger, which was released on Netflix earlier this year. The film, based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Arvind Adi, was nominated for Best Screenplay at the 93rd Academy Awards.

The actor next starred in The Matrix: Resurrections, starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Yahya Abdul-Matin II.

Some of her upcoming projects include Rome-com film text for you, Amazon Prime Video’s thriller series Citadel, spiritual guru Osho Rajneesh’s assistant Maa Anand Sheila, and Farhan Akhtar’s Zee Le Zara and Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
