An FIR report has been filed against actor Rajat Bedi for allegedly hitting a man with his car. The victim, Rajesh Ramsingh Dutt, has been rushed to the Cooper Hospital in Mumbai and is said to be in a very critical condition.
Midday reports said Rajat, 39, was hit by Rajat’s car around 6:30 p.m. on Monday while on his way home from work. Milind Kurdi, Chief Inspector at DN Nagar Police Station, said FIR has been registered against the actor under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act. However, no one has been arrested yet.
The victim’s wife, Babita Dutt, told the publication that her husband was drunk at the time of the accident and had injuries to the back of his head. She said Rajat took him to Kober Hospital and promised to help the family but he left some time later and never came back.
“At the hospital, Bedi told us that my husband suddenly came in front of the car. He assured us of help and said he and his driver Suresh were there in the hospital. After some time he said he would leave for a while but he never came back,” Babita said, calling for Rajat to be arrested.

Meanwhile, a doctor treating Rajesh said: “His condition is very critical, with head injuries. He is in the intensive care unit and on oxygen support. He is in dire need of blood.”
Rajat is best known for playing the antagonist, Raj Saxena, in Koi Mil Gaya, starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. He also played a negative role in Salman Khan and Govinda Star’s partner. His other films include Racht, Aksar and The Life of Mein Kabhi Kabhi.
