The life of actor Adarsh Gaurav has definitely changed after his international acclaim for his performance in The White Tiger. Balaram’s meticulous and layered imagery kept him on the map and he was able to attract the attention of directors and producers around the world.
With international acclaim behind him, Adarsh said he was very excited and “equally humbled” with the work that came after the film. He said that his life changed after the movie and he was happy to be trusted with different projects and characters that were different to his previous films.
He added, “I’m definitely busy. I am happy with the work that has come to me. This is not a good time for actors to be around. This is a positive change. I’m looking at scripts from probably all genres due to the international response of the film. For me, the script is of utmost importance and I can honestly act as if it resonates and connects with the characters. “
Adarsh currently has three international projects, including Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, a script by Zoya Akhtar and another film. He acknowledged that the pandemic had caused a slowdown in the entertainment industry. “It affected the shoots and made everyone careful. But as an actor, I engage myself by choosing new skills and updating my skill set. I also practice my accent as I work on both American and English dialects. I read a lot sometimes. I also try to write. I do vocal warm ups and rehearsals. I try to stay busy so that I do not feel stressed when I do not have work or shoot. I think it’s important to be an actor – to be engaged or to be still. “
